Last week my dad, sister, and I went over to the Tri Cities for Historic Flight to sell rides on the DC3 durring the Tri Cities Water Follies event. My dad went last year and this was my sister's and my first time going and flying in the DC3.
The morning we were supposed to leave there was thunder and rain. It was the first cloudy day we'd had in a while. We had to wait a few hours before taking off and ended up heading down to Portland before swinging over to the Tri Cities in order to avoid the storm.
Alina was happy to be on the ground again. We both were getting a little motion sickness which we believe is due to the droning of the engines.
One of the days we got to go down to the pits and see some of the racing.
Another night we got to go out on a river cruise on the Columbia River.
The guy who owned the boat let both me and my sister take the helm for a while. I can now say I've driven a boat much farther than I've driven a car.
The trip back was much smoother and the weather was clear. I was able to get some good shots of Seattle.
It was a super fun trip even though during the day we didn't really have anything to keep us busy with. And even though it was slow it was still successful. We sold lots of seats, got to do a lot of swimming at the hotel, and at lots of great food!
